In the ongoing 34th edition of the National Games, held in Quetta, the Pakistan Army baseball team emerged victorious by defeating Pakistan WAPDA with a scoreline of 15-0 in the final match. The Army team secured the coveted gold medal, while WAPDA settled for the silver medal, and HEC (Higher Education Commission) claimed the bronze.
In the final showdown, the Army team showcased their dominance by outclassing the WAPDA team and scoring 15 runs, while not allowing their opponents to score a single run. Waseem Akram contributed 3 runs, while Arslan Jamshed, M. Hussain, Nazir, Asad Ali, and Saqib scored 2 runs each. Abdullah and Faqir added 1 run each to the Army’s total. On the other hand, WAPDA’s players failed to score any runs, resulting in their defeat by a margin of 15 runs.

During the event’s prize distribution ceremony, special guest Chaudhry Yaqub, Vice President of the Pakistan Olympic Association, praised the efforts of the Balochistan government, particularly the Department of Sports, for gathering players from various regions, including remote areas of Balochistan, and bringing them together on one platform.
