Pakistan has improved its position in the world hockey rankings.

According to the International Hockey Federation (FIH) released rankings, Pakistan has climbed to the 15th position. The improvement in Pakistan’s ranking is attributed to the points earned in the recent Olympic Qualifier event. Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti, the president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, congratulated the national hockey team, the National Hockey Selection Committee, and the fans on this achievement. He expressed determination that Pakistan hockey is on a journey of progress to rejoin the top ten teams in the world rankings.

In the latest FIH rankings, the Netherlands holds the first position, followed by Belgium in second place, and India in third. New Zealand is ranked 10th, Ireland 11th, Korea 12th, Malaysia 13th, South Africa 14th, Pakistan 15th, and Japan 16th. Cambodia is positioned at 96th in the FIH rankings
