Pakistani Woman Naela Kiani Achieves Another Milestone as a Mountaineer

Islamabad: Pakistani mountaineer Naela Kiani has added another accolade to her name, becoming the first Pakistani woman to summit Mount Cho Oyu in China.

Naela Kiani recently scaled the 8188-meter high Mount Cho Oyu, one of the world’s tallest peaks, making her the first Pakistani woman to achieve this feat. With this achievement, Naela Kiani has now conquered a total of 10 peaks over 8,000 meters in height.

Naela Kiani and Sarbaz Khan were part of the Cho Oyu summiting team. Naela plans to also summit Shishapangma in this season. Prior to this, she has successfully climbed Mount Everest, K2, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, and Broad Peak, along with Nanga Parbat, Annapurna, Lhotse, and Manaslu.
