Quaid-e-Azam Trophy: Sarfaraz Ahmed’s Unbeatable Double Century, Lahore Blues and Rawalpindi’s Success

Lahore:In the fourth round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Rawalpindi defeated Faisalabad by 7 wickets.

Peshawar defeated Lahore Blues by 3 wickets. The match between Multan and FATA ended in a draw. The match between Karachi Whites and Lahore Whites also couldn’t produce a result.

The highlight of today’s match was the spectacular unbeatable double century by Karachi Whites’ captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, against Lahore Whites.

At Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Karachi Whites scored an impressive 784 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their first innings. Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed played a remarkable inning, scoring 200 runs without getting out. His innings included 24 boundaries and one six. This is Sarfaraz Ahmed’s second century in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and he has also scored two half-centuries in this tournament.

Rameez Aziz also contributed with a superb batting performance, scoring 151 runs with the help of 15 boundaries and 2 sixes. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Rameez Aziz’s partnership added 351 runs to the total. Before them, Imad Alam, Khurram Manzoor, and Asad Shafiq had also scored centuries in this tournament.

In their first innings, Lahore Whites had scored 509 runs at the loss of 9 wickets.

In Abbottabad, Peshawar Region defeated Lahore Blues by 3 wickets. On the fourth day of the match, Lahore Blues were bowled out for 215 runs in their second innings, and Peshawar had a target of 190 runs to win, which they achieved with 7 wickets remaining. Kamran Ghulam contributed with 50 runs.

At Shaheed Akhtar Sports Complex in Rawalpindi, FATA and Multan’s match ended in a draw. FATA scored 336 runs in their second innings, losing 9 wickets. Muhammad Irfan scored 84 runs with the help of 10 boundaries and 2 sixes, while Salman Khan contributed with 76 runs, hitting 12 boundaries.

At Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi, Rawalpindi defeated Faisalabad by 7 wickets. Rawalpindi had a target of 203 runs to win, and on the third day of the match, they scored 190 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in their second innings. Abdul Faseeh completed his century, scoring 109 runs with the help of 17 boundaries. Asif Iqbal scored 40 runs before getting out.
