PCB forms new management committee, appoints Zaka Ashraf as Chairman

Islamabad: The federal government has formed a new management committee for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and appointed Zaka Ashraf as the Chairman of the PCB management committee.

The federal cabinet has approved the formation of the new PCB management committee through a summary circulation. Zaka Ashraf has been appointed as the Chairman of the PCB management committee.

The government has removed Ahmed Shahzad Farooq from the position of Chief Election Commissioner of the PCB and appointed Mahmood Akbar Khokhar as the new Chief Election Commissioner of the PCB. The new management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board has been formed for a period of four months, and it will oversee various matters including the ICC.

The PCB management committee consists of 10 members. The committee includes Kaleem Allah Khan, Ashfaq Akhtar, Masood Islam, Azmat Parvez, Zahid Abbas, Khurram Sumro, Khawaja Nadim, Mustafa Ramday, and Zulfiqar Malik.

The first meeting of the PCB management committee has been scheduled to take place in Lahore, while the issue of PCB Chairman’s election and Zaka Ashraf’s eligibility is sub judice in the courts.
