The first meeting of the new management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board was held, chaired by Zakah Ashraf. He stated that the committee will focus on the betterment of cricket and cricketers. Zakah Ashraf issued strict instructions to bring transparency in the affairs of the cricket board, stating that complaints of corruption in the elections of regions and associations will be addressed, and transparent elections will be ensured. He mentioned providing better facilities to players in domestic cricket to attract talented individuals. Moreover, he emphasized the improvement of facilities for cricket enthusiasts.

The inaugural meeting of the PCB management committee, under the leadership of Zakah Ashraf, took place at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Zakah Ashraf was warmly welcomed by Zakir Khan, the Director of the National Cricket Academy, and other officials. At the start of the meeting, all members of the management committee expressed their full confidence in Zakah Ashraf. They stated their commitment to work with Zakah Ashraf for the betterment of cricket, considering his appointment as Chairman of the management committee as a positive decision for Pakistan cricket.

During the meeting, the Chief Finance Officer briefed the management committee on the budget of the PCB. The Chairman of the management committee was also briefed on important matters, including stadium construction and central contracts for domestic players. Chaudhry Zakah Ashraf addressed the PCB management committee, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Asif Zardari for their trust. He pledged to make every effort to fulfill their trust, expressing his desire for no conflicts. He stated that they should work together unitedly for the betterment of cricket in Pakistan. Zakah Ashraf mentioned that they wanted to give farewell to Najam Sethi respectfully like Ejaz Butt.

He reiterated their commitment to work for the betterment of Pakistan cricket.Zakah  Ashraf emphasized the need for improvement in many matters, including the Asia Cup and World Cup events. He stated that they would focus on the betterment of cricket and cricketers. He also mentioned the challenges faced on the international stage and their aim to ensure Pakistan cricket receives its rightful place in international events. Zakah Ashraf stated that they wanted to work together with all committee members, expressing his positive views about Khawaja Nadeem. He mentioned their efforts to bring transparency in the affairs of the cricket board and address complaints of corruption in the elections of regions and associations. They aimed to ensure transparent elections of regions and associations. Zakah  Ashraf instructed the Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, to provide the requested items for interprovincial liaison audit.

Zakah Ashraf highlighted the importance of providing good facilities to players in domestic cricket to attract talented individuals. He mentioned the improvement of stadiums in Abbottabad, Mirpur, and Hyderabad. The hospitality boxes in stadiums would be upgraded, and efforts would be made to increase the revenue of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Considering the long-standing desire of cricket enthusiasts in Peshawar, Zakah Ashraf stated that Arbab Niaz Stadium should be completed soon so that Peshawar fans can also enjoy matches of the Pakistan Super League. At the end of the meeting, the management committee confirmed the decisions made by Zakah Ashraf, Salman Naseer, and Faisal Hasnain during the ICC meeting.
