Saud Shakeel’s Rise in ICC Test Rankings, Babar Drops 4 Places

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Test player rankings.

According to the rankings, Pakistan’s middle-order batter Saud Shakeel has moved up three spots to claim the 8th position.

England’s Joe Root remains at the top spot, with Harry Brook in second and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson in third.

Meanwhile, former national team captain Babar Azam has dropped four places to 4th position. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, on the other hand, has moved up two spots and is now ranked 18th.

In the ICC Test bowlers’ rankings, India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains at the top, followed by Australia’s Pat Cummins in second and South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada in third.

Several Pakistani players who played key roles in the first Test victory against the West Indies have also seen improvements in their rankings.

Spinner Nauman Ali has climbed two places to reach 9th, Sajid Khan has surged 18 spots to 23rd, and Abrar Ahmed has moved up six spots to 52nd.
