Karachi, October : Pakistan Under-19 secured a victory over Sri Lanka Under-19 in the third One Day International (ODI) by six wickets. With this win, Pakistan leads the series two to one, having won five out of the five ODIs played so far.
In the match held at the National Bank Stadium on Friday, Sri Lanka Under-19 won the toss and chose to bat first, posting a total of 289 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs. Rosanda Gamage’s remarkable century, with 110 runs off 127 deliveries, stood out in their innings. She was aided by 6 boundaries. Shrojan Shanmuganathan also contributed with 61 runs.

Pakistan Under-19, in response, reached the target with a solid performance. Aftab Ahmed was the star with the ball, taking 3 wickets while giving away 31 runs. Obaid Shah and Muhammad Ibtisam also claimed two wickets each.
Pakistan’s victory was largely attributed to the outstanding batting performance of Shamil Hussain, who managed to reach the target with 4 wickets to spare. Shamil Hussain scored 150 runs from just 109 deliveries, which included 13 boundaries and 7 sixes. Riazullah contributed with 48 runs.
Haroon Arshad and Arafat Manhas remained not out with 27 and 34 runs, respectively. Arafat Manhas displayed an aggressive innings, smashing three boundaries and a six. Together, they added 60 runs for the fifth wicket, steering the team to victory.
