Canterbury, August 5: The three-day match between Pakistan Shaheens and South Asian Cricket Academy & MCC Young Cricketers XI ended in a draw.

On the final day, Pakistan Shaheens declared their second innings at 196 for 2.

Azan Awais was dismissed for just 5 runs, after which Shamil Hussain and Ali Zaryab built a strong 142-run partnership for the second wicket.

Ali Zaryab played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 100 runs, which included 1 six and 8 fours.

Shamil Hussain contributed 70 runs with the help of 1 six and 9 boundaries before being dismissed. Mohammad Suleman remained not out on 16.

Earlier, the host team resumed their first innings at 183 for 6 and were eventually all out for 278 runs, giving Pakistan Shaheens a 107-run lead in the first innings.

In the hosts’ innings, Feroze Khushi top-scored with an unbeaten 90, hitting 8 fours and 1 six. Stuart van der Merwe scored 41 runs.

Off-spinner Mubasir Khan was the most successful bowler for Pakistan Shaheens, claiming 3 wickets for 59 runs. Mehran Mumtaz and Musa Khan took two wickets each.
