Sharjah : Pakistan clinched the Tri-Nation T20 Series title after defeating Afghanistan by 75 runs, thanks to a brilliant hat-trick and five-wicket haul from Mohammad Nawaz.
Winning the toss and opting to bat, Pakistan posted 141 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored 27, Mohammad Nawaz 25, and Salman Ali Agha 24 runs. For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan picked up 3 wickets, while Noor Ahmad and Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed 2 each.
In reply, Afghanistan collapsed for just 66 in 15.5 overs, undone by Nawaz’s devastating spell. He not only completed a hat-trick but finished with outstanding figures of 5 for 19 in 4 overs. Nawaz struck twice off the last two balls of the 6th over and sealed his hat-trick on the first ball of the 8th.
Supporting him, Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Abrar bagged 2 wickets each, while Shaheen Afridi took one.
