Zeeshan Zeb Claims Victory at the 2nd Torsam Khan Squash Championship with Mehwish Ali as Women’s Champion

Karachi : In a spectacular final match, young squash player Zeeshan Zeb emerged as the champion of the 2nd Torsam Khan Jahangir Khan PSA Satellite Series, held at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Sports Complex . Zeb exhibited remarkable form and outplayed his opponent Muhammad Ammad in straight sets, winning the match 11/8, 11/3, 11/6.

The tournament, sponsored by Image Private Limited & Xtrme Labs, was named in honor of Torsam Khan, the son of former British Open champion Roshan Khan and elder brother of squash legend Jahangir Khan, who passed away during the Australian Open match in Adelaide, Australia, in 1979.

In the women’s final, Mehwish Ali displayed exceptional skills, securing a thrilling victory over Roshana Mahboob by 3-2. The closely contested match kept the audience engaged, with Ali finally winning 11/6, 11/9, 4/11, 9/11, 12/10.

Nauman Khan emerged as the winner of the under-15 category, defeating Malik Haris in the final match by 11/4, 11/3, 11/2.

Former World No. 1 squash champion Jahangir Khan, along with CEO of Combaxx Sports Omar Saeed and CEO of Image Pvt Ltd., Mr. Asad Ahmed, presented the trophies and souvenirs to the players and the organizing committee members. Speaking on the occasion, Khan emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent and advised them to dedicate themselves to their sport to become world-class players for the country.

Overall, the 2nd Torsam Khan Squash Championship proved to be a riveting event that paid tribute to the legacy of Torsam Khan and celebrated the emergence of new talent in squash.
