Karachi: Australian opener David Warner, known for his experimentation, intends to bid farewell to Test cricket after the series against Pakistan.
The Kangaroos are set to play the final of the World Test Championship against India before the Ashes. Warner’s previous tour of India did not go well, as his poor form and injury added to his troubles. In a recent interview, he clearly stated that the T20 World Cup 2024 event would be his last for the national team. He said that if he succeeds in scoring runs on English wickets, he will still be able to play for his country upon returning. He will not be playing the series against the West Indies, but he is likely to play the farewell Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground at the beginning of next year.
