Lahore: The Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Greg Barclay, and Chief Executive Jeff Alder arrived in Lahore. Today, they will have meetings with PCB officials.
ICC Chairman Barclay and Chief Executive Alder arrived from Dubai at Allama Iqbal Airport in Lahore, from where they were taken to the hotel under tight security.
The ICC Chairman and Chief Executive will visit Gaddafi Stadium today, where they will have meetings with the head of the PCB Cricket Committee, Najam Sethi, and other officials.
The purpose of the ICC officials’ visit to Lahore after 2004 is to ensure the participation of the Pakistani team in the World Cup scheduled to be held in India in October.
Discussions will also take place on the ICC Champions Trophy, which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in 2025. Exchange of views will also take place on other matters of mutual interest, including the Asia Cup.
