The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has been asked to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) until the new body is elected. The decision comes after a group of prominent wrestlers, including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, and Sakshi Malik, accused WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment and demanded his removal.

The WFI has announced that it will hold elections for the new body on May 7, and the IOA has been tasked with ensuring that the elections are conducted fairly. The wrestlers have alleged that the Delhi Police have not filed an FIR in their complaint, and this is the second time in three months that they have staged a sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar seeking justice in the case.
