Shadab Khan played a blistering innings of 80 runs off 51 balls
In the 20th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 29 runs, with Islamabad’s captain Shadab Khan playing a crucial role in the team’s victory with his aggressive batting. Zalmi’s captain Babar Azam was dismissed for zero runs.

Played in Rawalpindi, Peshawar Zalmi’s captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited Islamabad United to bat first.

Islamabad United, batting first, scored 196 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. In response, Peshawar Zalmi managed to score 167 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Peshawar Zalmi faced early difficulties in the innings as they lost 5 players for just 18 runs, but Aamer Jamal and Walter provided a significant partnership of 106 runs. However, they couldn’t win the match for their team.

All-rounder Aamer Jamal scored 87 runs off 48 balls, hitting 6 sixes and 8 fours, while Walter contributed 33 runs.

Before the batting innings, Islamabad United’s captain Shadab Khan played a dominant innings of 80 runs off 51 balls, including 6 sixes and 4 fours.

Agha Salman scored 37 runs, Jordan Cox scored 26 runs, and Azam Khan scored 29 runs.

Zalmi’s bowler Sameen Gul took 2 wickets, while Liam Wood and Salman Arshad took 1 wicket each.

From Islamabad’s side, Shadab Khan took 3 wickets, while Haneen Shah and Roman Raees took 2 wickets each.
