Former Secretary-General of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and Olympic legend Shabaz Ahmed senior visited the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore to boost the morale of the HEC women’s hockey team during their training camp, which was organized for the preparation of the 34th National Games to be held in Quetta. Former international hockey player Mubashir Mukhtar is supervising the camp.
During the camp, Shabaz Ahmed Sr. evaluated the performance of the women players and taught them ways to polish their skills. He shared his expertise in hockey, gave tips, and boosted the players’ morale to improve their game. He addressed the players, emphasizing honesty, special attention to the fitness, and the importance of a healthy diet, stating that these are the essential ingredients to becoming good players. He also expressed how impressed he was with the players’ passion and dedication to the game.
