Multan Sultans emerged victorious against Islamabad United by five wickets in a thrilling match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9. Reiza Hendricks of Multan Sultans scored 58 runs while captain Mohammad Rizwan contributed 43 runs.

In the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Multan Sultans secured a thrilling victory against Islamabad United by five wickets. Reiza Hendricks of Multan Sultans scored 58 runs while captain Mohammad Rizwan contributed 43 runs. The match was briefly halted due to a floodlight failure during Islamabad United’s batting.

Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and elected to field first, inviting Islamabad United to bat. Islamabad United scored 144 runs in the allotted 20 overs and got out. Multan Sultans chased down the target with one ball to spare.

Opener Colin Munro scored 8 runs while Alex Hales scored 2 runs before getting out. However, Agha Salman played a brilliant inning scoring 52 runs.

In addition, Islamabad United’s Jardan Cox scored 42 runs.

Mohammad Ali and Abbas Afridi took 3 wickets each for Multan Sultans.

Osama Mir took 2 wickets while David Willey took 1 wicket for Islamabad United.

Islamabad United set a target of 145 runs, which Multan Sultans achieved in the final over.

Reiza Hendricks played a crucial role in Multan Sultans’ victory, scoring an attractive 58 runs.

Captain Mohammad Rizwan’s 43 runs were also notable for Multan Sultans.

Islamabad United’s Nasim Shah dismissed 2 players while Imad Wasim, Timm Mills, and Shadab Khan took 1 wicket each.

It is worth noting that before the match played on Tuesday, both teams had won a match each. Islamabad United defeated Lahore Qalandars in their first match, while Multan Sultans had defeated Karachi Kings in their first match.
