In the match played at Chennai Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh’s openers once again failed as Liton Das was dismissed for a duck on the very first ball, while Tanzid Hasan scored 6, Mahedi Hasan Miraz scored 30, and Najmul Hossain 7, Taskin Ahmed 13, and Nasum Ahmed 11 runs before getting out. Captain Shakib Al Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain established a 96-run partnership for the fifth wicket, with Shakib scoring 40 and Mosaddek contributing 66 runs before being dismissed.
