PCB Chairman’s Announcement of Prize Money for Winning T20 World Cup”

Chairman PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, arrived at Gaddafi Stadium to boost the morale of the national cricket team ahead of their tour to Ireland and England for the T20 World Cup. He spent 2 hours with the players, discussing the strategies and practical wisdom of the game.

Mohsin Naqvi announced a prize of one lakh dollars for each player in case of winning the T20 World Cup, emphasizing that the significance of this prize money won’t diminish against Pakistan’s victory. He expressed hope that the players would raise the green flag high without succumbing to any pressure, play without inhibition, engage in fierce competition, and ensure a visible presence on the field. He stated that the victory would be for the players and the defeat for him.

He urged them not to worry about anyone else but to play solely for Pakistan, demonstrate teamwork on the field, and assured them of an inevitable victory. He stressed unity among all players and assured them of his support.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed confidence in Shaheen Afridi’s performance in the World Cup, stating that the nation has high expectations from him. He encouraged him to excel, affirming his full support.

He mentioned the promotion of domestic cricket from schools to universities and awarded special green shirts to Muhammad Rizwan for completing 3000 runs in T20 matches and Nasim Shah for taking 100 wickets in T20 matches.

Mohsin Naqvi assured the resolution of players’ issues on a priority basis and acknowledged the presence of selectors Wahab riaz, Mohammad Yousuf, Captain Babar Azam, Assistant Coach Azhar Mahmood, and International Cricket Director Usman Wahla at the event.

The players and officials were honored with a luncheon at a local hotel as part of their recognition.
