Brampton, Canada : The Global T20 League is set to take place in Canada next month. The draft for the league’s top players has already been conducted. Pakistani cricket star Shahid Afridi will be playing in the league. According to details, jerseys for the upcoming Global T20 League, scheduled to be played in July, have been launched, featuring vibrant colors. Along with Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi, other international players such as Andre Russell, Shakib Al Hasan, Chris Lynn, Sherfane Rutherford, and Carlos Brathwaite are also part of the league, which has generated a lot of buzz.
After the unveiling of their unique jerseys, the teams of the league have created excitement among cricket fans, signaling the arrival of a top-quality league. The league comprises six teams, namely Toronto Nationals, Brampton Wolves, Montreal Tigers, Vancouver Knights, Surrey Jaguars, and Mississauga Panthers. The Jaguars Panthers have formed a team again. The league will commence on July 20 and the final match will be played on August 6 in Ontario. The first two seasons took place in 2018 and 2019, while the third edition was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will now be held in July. Each team will have two international players, and three players from the Canadian national team will also participate. Additionally, three emerging Canadian players will be part of the teams. The Global T20 League Canada will feature a total of 25 matches in 18 days.
